  • One of the most distinctive hawthorn varieties, thanks to its impactful reddish pink and white blooms, Crimson Cloud is a dazzling ornamental tree that offers a long season of interest.
  • The flowers boast bold crimson-to-magenta exteriors with snow white centres, typically appearing between April and June. The glossy green foliage serves as a lovely backdrop against which the flowers can shine, and takes on attractive bronze hues come autumn.
  • Red berries (haws) are produced in abundance in the autumn months, providing a valuable source of food for birds like yellowhammers and thrushes. The thorny nature of their branches also makes these trees excellent nesting sites.
  • The hawthorn has been certified as one of the RHSs Plants for Pollinators, a designation indicating the trees benefits to pollinating insects like honeybees and the small eggar moth.
  • Crimson Cloud is incredibly hardy and easy to grow, tolerating a wide range of soils and conditions, including chalky and clay sites. You can even use the haws to make jelly and wine! Seriously, whats not to like?
  • Our mature trees are grown in Air-Pots, the only type of pot to completely eliminate root circling. A unique design stimulates air pruning for a mass of healthy fibrous roots, which results in a healthy tree that will establish quickly in your garden. With each Air-Pot made to last up to 20 years, we reuse them on the nursery and wrap your mature tree in hessian for delivery – but if youd rather keep your tree potted, simply add an Air-Pot to your basket along with your tree.
