Taoflora’s the name, blossom’s the game… This stunning peach cultivar dazzles with its vivid red spring blossoms, and does so in double quick time thanks to a fast growth rate.
The tree’s lush green summer foliage is bookended at the far side by a canvas of blazing red autumn colour, ensuring great visual interest is provided throughout the year, rather than just one or two seasons.
Growing to just a few metres tall and responding well to being shaped, this variety is perfect to star as the feature tree in small gardens, and you can even grow it on a patio. If possible, plant somewhere sheltered.
Boasting better disease resistance and cold hardiness than many other peach varieties, this tree is undoubtedly an excellent choice for UK gardens.
While predominantly grown as an ornamental tree, ‘Taoflora Red’ does produce a crop of downy peaches from the end of summer into early autumn which, though small, are perfectly edible!
