Red, green and white is a classic colour combination (just ask the Italians) and that’s exactly what the crabapple ‘Wedding Bouquet’ offers. With serrated green leaves, porcelain white blossoms and cherry-red fruits, this lovely variety is as elegant as they come.
Starting off upright, the tree widens and spreads with time to give a dense, bushy tree once mature. With an ultimate height of roughly four metres, this cultivar is perfect as a feature tree in a small garden or as one of several trees in larger gardens and orchards.
The crabapples remain on the tree well into winter, injecting a jolt of colour into what can be an otherwise bleak period of the year, as far as the garden’s concerned.
Recognised as one of the RHS’s Plants for Pollinators, this tree will attract a wealth of bees and butterflies.
