When it comes to trees with fabulous foliage, the deep purple hues boasted by Japanese maple trees are practically unrivalled – and ‘Tamukeyama’? Well, you can see for yourself just how striking it is!
Its foliage starts out an evocative claret colour, before taking on greener shades in the summer, and finally finishing up for the year painted in fiery tones
The delicate lobed leaves have jagged edges which, when viewed en masse, give the tree a highly-attractive, textured appearance
This tree has been top-worked, meaning it features a clear stem which won’t grow any taller, and a framework of branches atop the the trunk that will continue to develop – trees grown in this way are ideal for smaller gardens and large patio pots
